Paige Sommers, a senior at Westlake High and a Duke signee, won the girls pole vault title with a 14-foot clearance (4.27m) at the CIF Southern Section Division 1 Finals at Westlake High. Sommers added the Division 1 title to her Division 2 championships in 2018 and 2019, in addition to securing both division records. She is the only vaulter in Southern Section history to win titles in the top two divisions, in addition to holding the national high school outdoor all-time mark at 14-9 (4.50m), which she achieved May 26 at the Marmonte League final at Westlake High.
