Duke signee Paige Sommers, a senior at Westlake High in California competing unattached, cleared 13-10 (4.22m) on her first attempt to prevail in the women's elite section at the second Vaulter Club Vaulter Magazine Grand Prix event at the Big Red Barn in Sun City, Calif. Sommers elevated to the outdoor prep leader nationally, and took three attempts at 14-1.25 (4.30m) in her dress rehearsal for the adidas Invitational in Virginia Beach.
