Westlake CA junior Paige Sommers cleared 13-6 (4.11m) on her first attempt to win the girls pole vault at the Don Green Memorial Track Meet at Moorpark High. Sommers, the state record holder at 14-6 (4.41m), was attempting to become the first California vaulter to start the outdoor season with consecutive 14-foot clearances since Anaheim CA standout Rachel Baxter in 2017, but she missed all three attempts at 14 feet.
