1. Christian Brothers Academy, Lincroft, NJ [1]
Wins Nike Cross Nationals Northeast Regional over PA powers O’Hara and Henderson and will seek an unprecedented repeat NXN boys championship this Saturday in Portland, Oregon.

2. Carroll HS, Southlake, TX [2]
Undefeated NXN South Regional winner by almost 200 points seeks to challenge CBA for the second straight year after its runner-up showing in a 91-95 contest in 2011.

3. North Central HS, Spokane, WA [3]
NXN Northwest Regional winner and 2008 NXN champion seeks second title that will depend on the status of injured top runner Kai Wilmot.

4. American Fork HS, American Fork, UT [4]
NXN Southwest Regional winner by 127 points gives NXN at least four legitimate boys contenders for the national title.

5. Cardinal O’Hara HS, Springfield, PA [6]
Second to CBA in NXN Northeast Regional with its pack running a 17-second spread on the brutal Bowdoin Park course in Wappingers Falls, NY.

6. Henderson HS, West Chester, PA [5]
Third in NXN Northeast Regional, 5 points behind state rival O’Hara, led by victorious Tony Russell and runner-up Reiny Barchet, both juniors, earning nationals at-large berth.

7. York HS, Elmhurst, IL [8]
NXN Midwest Regional winner by 67 points seeks a second NXN crown to go with its 2004 title in the event’s inaugural year.

8. Arcadia HS, Arcadia, CA [7]
Wins state Division I championship by 74 points, seeks a second NXN title to add to its 2010 victory.

9. Fayetteville-Manlius HS, Manlius, NY [14]
Wins NXN New York Regional led by victorious Nick Ryan, who shattered the Bowdoin Park course record and is a serious individual threat for Portland.

10. St. Xavier HS, Louisville, KY [9]
Wins NXN Southeast Regional by 51 points on WakeMed Soccer Park course in Cary, North Carolina.

11. Bismarck HS, Bismarck, ND [10]
NXN Heartland winner has double regional champion (NXN and Foot Locker) Jake Leingang on the short list of individual favorites for Portland.

12. Chantilly HS, Chantilly, VA [11]
Third in NXN Southeast on short end of a tie-breaker without top runner Sean McGorty, who won the Foot Locker South Regional the same day.

13. Saratoga Springs HS, Saratoga Springs, NY [12]
Second to Fayetteville in NXN Northeast with two freshmen in its scoring five.

14. Dowling Catholic HS, W. Des Moines, IA [13]
NXN Heartland Regional runner-up set to make its nationals debut with its boys team. (DC girls made it previously.)

15. Davis HS, Kaysville, UT [16]
NXN Southwest runner-up has a tough act to follow after last year’s third-place podium finish in Portland.

16. Carmel HS, Carmel, IN [19]
NXN Midwest runner-up is one of five schools with both boys and girls teams in the nationals fields.

17. Milford HS, Highland, MI [20]
State Division I champion by 84 points with 15:35 5K average on fast course.

18. Kamiakin HS, Kennewick, WA [15]
NXN Northwest Regional runner-up is the latest in a long line of Washington State powers in the nationals field.

NXN Midwest third-place team earns at-large selection to nationals.
