Westlake cross country coach Snyder honored by CIF-SSJoe Snyder of Westlake High was named one of the CIF-Southern Section’s Fall Coaches of the Year by the California Coaches’ Association. Snyder led the Warrior boys’ cross country team to its first state championship this season. Westlake won the Division 2 meet. The Warriors also won Marmonte League and CIF-SS titles this year. A physical educator for 34 years and the head cross country coach for the past 17 years at Westlake, Snyder led the Warriors to postseason competition 11 times. His Warriors reached the state meet three times. Westlake was a section runner-up in 2004.
