But there is only one Sarah Baxter, and the Simi Valley junior delivered one of the most impressive performances in the history of the Ventura County Track and Field Championships at Moorpark High.

Baxter broke Kim Mortensen's 1996 county meet record by clocking a personal-best 10 minutes, 6.74 seconds in the 3,200, highlighting a four-victory haul for the Pioneers. Mortensen, the national record-holder in the 3,200, set the county meet standard of 10:07.10 competing for Thousand Oaks.
