Westlake sophomore Paige Sommers won the girls pole vault at the CIF Southern Section Masters meet with a second-attempt clearance at 13 feet (3.96m) at El Camino College's Murdock Stadium in Torrance, Calif. Sommers also tied for seventh place in the high jump with a final-attempt clearance at 5-4 (1.62m) to earn a trip to the state prelims at Buchanan High's Veterans Memorial Stadium in both events.
